Contact Finder Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice applies to the Hyranse Contact Finder browser extension ("Extension") and related on-page contact lookup features, operated by Artashes Stepanyan Individual Entrepreneur (trading as Hyranse).

It explains what the Extension does with personal data, how that differs from the main Hyranse platform, and how you can contact us. For the Hyranse web app, candidate database, subscriptions, and API, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What the Extension Is (and Is Not)

The Extension helps recruiters reveal publicly available contact details on an individual professional profile page they are already viewing in their browser. It is designed for one profile at a time, triggered by your click.

The Extension is not the same as the Hyranse candidate database. The main Hyranse platform compiles and organises publicly available professional profiles so paying customers can search and shortlist candidates from public sources. The Extension does not bulk-scrape supported profile pages, does not run in the background on your feed, and does not replace the platform database described in our Privacy Policy.

Hyranse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party professional networking or social platform.

2. Who This Notice Applies To

• Extension users — recruiters or other professionals who install and use Contact Finder;
• Profile subjects — individuals whose profile page is open when a user clicks to reveal contacts.

3. What Data the Extension Processes

3.1 When you install or use the Extension

The Extension may process:

• The URL of the active supported profile page when you click Show contacts;
• A public profile identifier derived from that URL (for example, a profile vanity slug);
• Contact details returned for that profile (such as email, phone, Telegram, or GitHub), where available from our sources;
• Technical data needed to operate the Extension (browser storage, extension settings, error logs).

3.2 What the Extension does not access

• Private messages, InMail, or your social feed on any platform;
• Websites other than the active tab when you invoke the Extension on a supported profile page;
• Your account credentials for any third-party platform.

3.3 On-click behaviour

Contact lookup runs only after you click Show contacts. We do not prefetch or bulk-download contacts for profiles you have not opened and requested.

4. How Data Is Stored

If you also use a paid Hyranse account, separate account and billing data is handled under the main Privacy Policy.

5. Why We Process This Data

We process Extension data to:

• Return contact details you request for a specific profile page;
• Operate, secure, and improve the Extension;
• Enforce usage limits where applicable (for example, if linked to an optional Hyranse account or API credits).

For Extension users, the legal basis is contract or legitimate interests in providing the Extension you chose to install. For profile subjects, where contact details are retrieved from publicly available professional sources, we rely on legitimate interests in enabling legitimate recruitment contact lookup, balanced against your rights. 6. Who Receives the Data

• You — results are shown in the Extension panel on the profile you requested;
• Service providers — hosting and infrastructure providers that help us operate the lookup service, under contract;
• Not sold — we do not sell Extension lookup results to third parties.

7. Permissions

The Extension requests browser permissions necessary to function, typically including:

• Active tab — to read the profile page URL you are viewing when you click Show contacts;
• Storage — to remember settings and consent choices locally in your browser.

8. Retention

• Local Extension storage persists until you clear extension data or uninstall the Extension;
• Server-side technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised;
• Using the Extension alone does not permanently add a profile to the main Hyranse searchable database.

9. Your Rights

Extension users: contact support@hyranse.com to access or delete account-related data, or uninstall the Extension to remove local storage.

Profile subjects: if your professional data appears in the main Hyranse database or you want to opt out of our processing more broadly, use the Candidate Privacy Center. If you have a concern specific to a Contact Finder lookup, email us with the profile page URL and we will review your request.

10. Children

The Extension is intended for professional recruitment use by adults (18+). It is not directed to children.

11. Changes

We may update this notice when the Extension changes. Material updates will be reflected by the "Last updated" date on this page.
