US Privacy Notice

Last updated: 13 September 2026

This US Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy. It applies to personal information we process about individuals who reside in the United States, including California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and comparable state privacy laws where they apply to our processing.

If you are a job candidate whose professional profile appears in our database, see also our Candidate Privacy Center and Transparency Notice.

1. Categories of personal information we collect

Depending on how you use Hyranse, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

Category Examples
Identifiers Name, email address, account ID, IP address, browser/device identifiers
Professional information Job title, company name, work history, skills (for customer accounts and candidate database profiles)
Commercial information Subscription plan, billing history references processed by Paddle (we do not store full payment card numbers)
Internet or network activity Pages viewed, features used, search queries, API usage logs
Inferences AI fit scores and ranking outputs generated from job descriptions and candidate profiles for recruitment search

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, precise geolocation, health data, or biometric data) through the Service.

2. Sources of personal information

  • Directly from you — when you register, subscribe, contact support, book a demo, or submit a privacy request;
  • Automatically — through cookies, logs, and usage data when you use our website or app;
  • Public professional sources — for candidate database profiles compiled from publicly available professional information;
  • Service providers — such as Paddle (payments), Calendly (demo scheduling), and hosting providers, as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Business and commercial purposes

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Process subscriptions and manage customer accounts;
  • Provide customer support and respond to privacy requests;
  • Operate recruitment search, ranking, and contact enrichment features;
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • Send service-related communications and, where permitted, marketing with your consent or as allowed by law.

4. Disclosure of personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers / processors — vendors that help us operate the Service under contract (see our Privacy Policy);
  • Paying customers — candidate professional profile information is made available to authenticated paying customers for recruitment purposes under our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy;
  • Legal and safety — where required by law or to protect rights and security;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

5. Sale and sharing (California and similar US laws)

We do not sell personal information to data brokers or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We also do not sell customer account information to third parties for their independent marketing.

Candidate database data: We make candidate professional profile information available to paying customers as part of the recruitment Service. Under some US state privacy laws, making personal information available to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" (for example, under California law). Where that applies:

  • The recipient is a paying business customer using the data for recruitment under contract, not a data broker;
  • We do not authorize customers to resell candidate data;
  • Candidates may submit opt-out or deletion requests through our Candidate Privacy Center.

We have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding 12 months.

6. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including customer account data for the subscription period and a limited period thereafter, and candidate data while relevant for recruitment subject to opt-out and deletion requests.

7. Your US privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
  • Access a copy of personal information we hold about you;
  • Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable;
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not intentionally collect it);
  • Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

Customers: Email support@hyranse.com or use account settings where available.

Candidates: Use the Candidate Privacy Center.

Opt-out of sale/sharing: Because we do not sell personal information to data brokers or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, a separate opt-out link is not required for those activities. If you believe candidate data sharing applies to you as a California resident, submit a request through the Candidate Privacy Center or email us with the subject line "US privacy opt-out".

We will verify your request before responding. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law; we may require proof of authorization.

8. Shine the Light (California)

California residents may request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their independent direct marketing purposes in the traditional sense described by California Civil Code § 1798.83. Contact us if you have questions.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.

10. Changes

We may update this Notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
