This page explains where the professional profile data in Hyranse comes from, why we are allowed to process it, and how any person can have their profile removed. It summarises our Privacy Policy, Transparency Notice, and Legitimate Interest Assessment Summary; those documents prevail if anything here differs.
Who is responsible
Hyranse is operated by Artashes Stepanyan Individual Entrepreneur (trading as Hyranse), an individual entrepreneur registered in the Republic of Armenia, registration number 286.1606776, address 18th Street, 3, Pshatavan, Armavir Region, Republic of Armenia. We are the data controller for the professional profile search index. Contact: support@hyranse.com.
Where the data comes from
We compile professional information from publicly available sources only:
- public LinkedIn profile information;
- publicly available professional networking platforms and profiles;
- employer and company websites, public company biographies, and conference speaker pages;
- public business directories and other lawful public professional sources.
We do not collect data from private, restricted, or non-public accounts, and we do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as health information, political opinions, or religious beliefs.
What data we hold
- name and professional headline;
- current and previous job titles and employers;
- education, skills, and experience;
- publicly listed contact details (email, phone, social profiles) where available from public sources;
- professional availability signals, such as Open To Work indicators, where publicly disclosed.
Why we process it
We process this data to let registered recruiters and hiring teams find and review candidates for genuine open roles, to keep profiles accurate, and to handle opt-out and deletion requests. The data is used for recruitment only. It is not sold or shared as a standalone dataset, marketing list, or data-broker product, and it is not used for advertising unrelated to recruitment.
Lawful basis
We rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR. We have carried out a Legitimate Interest Assessment that weighs our interests and those of our customers against the rights of the people in our index; a summary is published in our LIA Summary. Customers who use Hyranse act as independent data controllers for their own recruitment activities and must have their own lawful basis before contacting a candidate.
Who can see a profile
Profiles are not publicly searchable on the internet. They are available only to registered customers who accept our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy. The public homepage demo shows masked sample results only. We also use service providers (hosting, security, support tools) that process data on our behalf under contract.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate data while it remains accurate and relevant for recruitment purposes, and until the person asks us to delete it or opts out.
How to remove your profile or object
You can ask us to delete your profile, opt out of the search index, correct your data, get a copy of your data, or object to processing, including AI-assisted search. Use the Candidate Privacy Center form or email support@hyranse.com with the subject "Privacy request". We aim to respond within 30 days.
After a valid opt-out, deletion, or objection, we remove the profile from future customer searches within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days, and keep a suppression record so that the profile does not reappear. Customers must not restore or re-import suppressed profiles using data they obtained earlier.
You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Data may be processed in the Republic of Armenia and in countries where our service providers operate. For transfers from the UK or EEA we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
